The ice tea guide

Hi beauties,

Have you ever wondered what is the best way to prepare a good ice tea or which teas are best to drink on ice ? Well, I created this “ice tea guide” for you so you can prepare delicious iced teas and stay hydrated all summer long !

Which teas can be prepare iced ?

All teas can be enjoyed on ice, but some are better than others ! My favorite types of tea to prepare are fruit, black and green teas.

  • Fruit teas: Made using only fruit pieces and flowers like hibiscus, rosehips, apples, orange peels, pineapples, fruit teas are naturally caffeine free and sweet! They turn out perfect every time and no sugar is needed!
  • Green teas: Packed with antioxidants, green teas are perfect to stay energized on a hot summer day! Iced green teas are healthy and refreshing, plus they give you a natural boost of energy.
  • Black teas: Perfect to create a strong iced tea! Black teas contains more caffeine than other types of tea, so they make the perfect drink to kick start your day or to stay refreshed after a workout.

Look for our new “unnamedTry it on ice” logo on selected product pages to discover which blends can be enjoy iced !

Now, how do you prepare the perfect ice tea ?

There are actually two ways to prepare it.

  • Hot Brew:

Prepare your tea as usual by infusing 2 tsp. of tea leaves in hot water ; infuse 3 minutes for green tea and 3-5 minutes for black and fruit tea.

Add sugar to your taste (optional)

Let it cool for 30 minutes and serve over ice !

  • Cold Brew:

Quickly rinse the tea leaves (to remove any dust or possible bacteria).

Add 2-3 tsp. of tea leaves (or 2 tea bags) in 2 cups (500ml) of fresh cold water in a glass or mason jar.

Cover and let steep in the fridge for 6-8 hours (or overnight!).

Strain the leaves and enjoy just like that or over ice.

*Beauty tip: add fresh slices of lemon or any fruits for added vitamins and flavors.

Enjoy beauties, XoXo.
